BOOKING CONDITIONS

(minimum 7 nights)

1- Arrival and departure times :
for camping plots : arrival 14.00/20.00 - departure : 8.00/11.00 -
For rented accommodation :
Arrival 16.30/20.30 (July/August), 14.00/19.00 (low season) - Departure : 8.00/11.00 (dispensation may be granted in low season).
For both camping plots and rented accommodation, the booking is confirmed once the contract and deposit have been received. You will be sent a receipt to present at reception on arrival.

2- Number of people : maximum 6 people (including babies) per plot or rented accommodation. Any additional people will not be admitted; neither will any person whose identity has not been confirmed at the time of booking. Minors not accompanied by either parent or a legal tutor will also be refused entry.
NO BOOKING MAY BE TRANSFERRED TO A THIRD PARTY.

3- Late arrival or shortened stay : no reduction or reimbursement will be granted in either case.

4- Choice of plot : bookings may not be made for a specific camping plot or rented accommodation. Places are allocated without any preference as bookings arrive.
You may indicate a preference but the management reserves the right to change the allocation of plot on your arrival if necessary.

5- Options : these do not form part of the contract and may be cancelled without retraction by either party once 1 week has passed without confirmation.

6- Security deposits / rental accommodation : You will be asked for 2 deposits : 310 € for equipment and 50 € for cleaning - paid either by French cheque (1 cheque per deposit), in cash or by giving your credit card number.
Your deposit will be returned to you when you leave, as long as the inventory is complete.
If you leave outside reception opening hours, the deposits will be sent to you after deduction of any costs necessary to repair/replace equipment.

Security deposit / camping plots :

 Rented fridges : 90 € (deposit returned following return and inspection)
 Gate card : 20 € (deposit returned when card handed into reception)
 European plug adaptor : 20 € (deposit returned when adaptor handed into reception)
 Grill barbecue : 20 € (deposit returned when the grill handed into reception) These deposits may be paid for in one payment as above.

7- Insurance : we advise you to take out our cancellation insurance policy, which will enable you to receive a reimbursement if you are prevented from fulfilling your booking (see notes).
Individual campers should provide their own insurance for their caravans, tent or equipment.
Personal liability insurance is compulsory.
A copy of this should be sent at the time of booking.
The management accepts no liability for theft, loss or damage caused by bad weather or accident on the campsite.

8- Access to campsite : only vehicles with a gate card and windscreen sticker will be allowed to enter the campsite. Identity bracelets (single, permanent use) must be worn at all times throughout your stay. They should not be removed and will allow you entry to the campsite enclosure as well as the pool.
Lost bracelets will be replaced at additional cost.

9- Settling your bill : the full price of your stay must be paid on arrival for all types of booking. If you settle your account six weeks before arrival you will be entitled to a 5% discount on the total cost.
No plot or rented accommodation will be provided if this sum is not paid.

CANCELLATION CONDITIONS :

• For any late arrival where we have not been notified, the plot or the accommodation will be made available to others 24 hours after the arrival date on the booking form. Once this time has passed, the booking is cancelled and the deposit and any other payments remain the property of Camping Croix du Sud. The plot or rented accommodation will be offered to another client.
• Telephone messages will not be accepted for any late arrivals or booking cancellations. Any withdrawals or booking changes must be made in writing either by letter or by fax.
• For all cancellations, the deposit and any other payments made in respect of your stay will be retained, except where clients have taken out cancellation insurance with CORNHILL France.

CANCELLATION INSURANCE :

The cancellation insurance policy offered by the campsite is optional but strongly recommended. It allows you to be reimbursed for any costs incurred should you need to cancel your booking or shorten your stay under certain conditions (see CORNHILL France notes).

NO REIMBURSEMENT WILL BE MADE, EVEN IN THE EVENT OF FORCE MAJEURE, FOR CLIENTS WHO HAVE NOT TAKEN OUT THE CORNHILL France CANCELLATION INSURANCE POLICY RECOMMENDED IN THE BOOKING CONTRACT.

Cost of insurance policy :

11 to 18 € incl VAT per week for rented accommodation.
7 to 9 € incl VAT per week for camping plots.
This sum is payable in full and only at the time of booking.
The total amount must be added to the deposit required to confirm your booking.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION :

• The management reserves the right to evict, WITHOUT NOTICE OR REIMBURSEMENT, any person who does not abide by the rules of the campsite or who has given false information concerning the identity or number of people occupying the plot/accommodation. Visitors are authorised and are the responsibility of their host after their presence has been notified at reception and a visitor’s ticket issued for 1 hour. For any stay longer than this, the full price will be invoiced at the current rate.
• Vehicles may not be parked on neighbouring plots even if these are unoccupied. If this occurs, you will be charged the cost of the plot on which the vehicle is found.
• Category 1 and 2 pets are not allowed.
In no circumstances may a pet stay on the plot without its owner and it is not permitted in the swimming pool area or in the sanitary block.

In the event of a dispute, the courts in Perpignan have sole jurisdiction.
